How do I know when it's time to consider outsourcing?

It's a good time to consider outsourcing to a team when: - you are feeling overwhelmed with your current workload, - want to reduce your stress levels, - aren't ready to hire a full time staff member, and - you want to use your time more productively.

What is the benefit of outsourcing over hiring an in-house employee?

There are many benefits to hiring a remote employee. Depending on who you hire, most OBMs are very experienced in their industry.
They strive to offer you increased productivity, as their bottom line depends on client satisfaction! Using an OBM can offer reduced labour costs - not having to pay for insurance, taxes, sick time, holiday pay and benefits, along with reduced overhead with no need to house another person in your office.​

Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes. This is both for your protection and mine. The contract is meant to clearly outline what is expected from each party. Because I require upfront payment, it also gives clients the piece of mind knowing there are legal documents in place ensuring the service they are guaranteed to receive, and that their propietary information is legally protected.

What kind of retainer payment do you require for ongoing contracts?

Guidelines will be included in the contract, however work does not begin until payment has been received. My retainer is fifty percent upfront with the final balance due part-way through the same working month. If you are on a recurring plan, payments can be set up to start on your date of preference, split up into twice a month payments. You can also choose a once recurring monthly payment, or the total balance due at the beginning of the contract start date. My main concern is your satisfaction and I am always willing to schedule the dates around what works best for you.

Why do you work in packages and not by the hour?

I prefer to prepare customized packages for each client, as each service I provide has varying degrees of difficulty, requiring a different level of skill and prices are based on this factor. It would be unfair to my clients to provide a simple task at the same higher rate as a complicated task.

Can you gain access to my information and systems if you aren't in my office?

If your systems are cloud based, they can be accessed via the internet. I subscribe to a Google Business account, which stores information on servers in secure data centers. Your data stored with Google is encrypted during transfer from your computer — and while it sits on Google Drive servers. For documents, presentations and reports, with a proprietary nature and high security level, a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) site can be utilized to transfer files.

Do I have to share my passwords with you?

It depends. In most cases, sharing of passwords is not necessary as a system like lastpass or a business manager application can be utilized. Sometimes sharing a password for certain platforms can make it easier to handle information. I would never suggest any client in providing passwords to banking information or anything of that nature, no matter who you are working with.

What kind of retainer payment do you require for Dubsado projects?

Guidelines will be included in the contract, however as setups can be very time intensive, to reserve your spot in my calendar a booking fee is required. Work does not begin until the retainer payment has been received. My retainer is fifty percent upfront with the final balance due upon project delivery.
