Are you feeling stuck in your business?

It’s rare to find a business owner who, at some point, hasn’t felt a little stuck.

Either you begin to experience burnout, aren’t reaching your goals or maybe can’t seem to get past a certain income level.

In my experience, it’s a normal part of being in business. But staying in that cycle of feeling stuck, doesn't have to be. The most successful small business owners find ways to figure out how to overcome the hurdles and continue to grow their business.

And the first step? It's to determine what exactly is holding you back.

Lack of Clarity

When you don’t really know what it is you actually want from your business, you’re probably experiencing a lack of clarity. Maybe you aren’t clear on who you’re meant to serve, or can’t quite envision your perfect product suite.

Not knowing your zone of genius is can stop a promising business in its tracks.

Take a step back and do some brainstorming (or brain dumping) to get everything out where you can see it. This alone can help you get clear on who you're meant to serve, and what you're offering.

Lack of Focus

If you’re clear on your goals but you’re having trouble moving forward consistently, then a lack of focus is probably the culprit! Maybe you get to work every morning with purpose, but by lunch you haven’t accomplished anything you set out to do. Sound familiar?

If you're having trouble focusing on the next step that needs to happen to make your dreams come true,  try this: with your end goal in mind, brainstorm the next step you need to take to get you a little closer to your big goal.

Every step forward is one step closer to that big dream.

No Excitement

Bored? Lost interest in that business you once loved? This is actually more common than you would think! That’s why we see so many people jumping from business to business, never spending enough time in any one endeavour to see it through.

Staying excited about your business starts with having a dream that keeps you going even when you’re faced with the day-to-day drudgery that every small business owner encounters. Not everything is fun when you’re running a business, but if you keep your “why” in mind, it can help you get past the dull spots! And make sure to inject a little fun in your day-to-day!
